Jimbo Meador is an angler
who walks the walk like few others. At age 67, he’s lived his
entire life on and made a living on and around the water. Today, he
is working with Heritage Kayaks to insure the fishing kayaks and
accessories we offer meet the needs of discriminating anglers.
According to author and writer
Charles Gaines in the account of a redfish road trip o’ plenty
chronicled in Field and Stream (“Redfish Riviera,” March,
2005), “Jimbo knows and loves and understands the Gulf Coast and its
marvelous horn-o-plenty fishing as well as anyone alive, and he has
had an intimate view of all the ups and downs of the redfish since
the 1950’s. He even wears a bathing suit in place of underwear
because ‘you never know when you might have a chance to marinate.’”
